How to Place Ingredients
Ingredients can be dropped in Mickey’s virtual world by highlighting the item inside the backpack inventory screen, choose the amount of items and select drop.
They then can be positioned differently using the furniture placement mode.
This technique is helpful when you have too many things in your backpack, especially if you want to gather berries or stick you need for a challenge. Drop an extra item and grab the things you need.
The dropped item will still be there to grab later. This can be done with gems and other items in Dreamlight Valley.
How to Cook Meals
Creating meals in the game is easy when you know what you’re doing. As soon as you move into your new home, you’ll have a cooking station to use for meals. Recipes are stored to refer to as you add each item to the cooking pot.
Both Ratatouille’s restaurant in The Plaza and his kitchen in the Dreamlight Castle has a cooktop you can use. Once you have access to the Litttle Chef’s home, there’s also cooking station there.
Any of these locations can be used at any time.
