Dreamlight Ingredients: Asparagus

Dreamlight Valley asparagus is an ingredient used to cook meals and fill menu requests throughout the Valley. Like all vegetables in the Disney game, they are also used to refill energy and serve as either an appetizers, entree or dessert to fill requests made by the Valley Villagers.

In this post you’ll find detailed information about seeds packets, gardening activities and which cooking recipes call for Dreamlight Asparagus.

Learn how to plant seeds and make meals with asparagus. Then find instructions to help guide through and explore the recipe book; where recipes are stored until you need to reference them for the right recipe ingredients.

Next, discover which types of meals include an asparagus bundle to quickly grow what you need to fuel up Valley characters’ energy stores. And finally, compare pricing to decide which is better—growing vegetables or buying the veggies you need.

How To Get Dreamlight Asparagus

Start meal orders and friendship requests by gathering your spices, herbs and any other items the recipe calls for. As for produce items, your options are to grow the produce needed using seed packets or buy ready-to-cook vegetables.

Harvesting vs. Buying Asparagus

The first thing to think through is if it’s better for your gameplan to buy seeds and harvest vegetables or purchase an asparagus bundle at a higher price. Weigh out the time and effort it takes to make your own fruits and veggies or if buying them from Goofy’s Stall is best.

After you decide if the cost difference matters to you, it’s time to grab some seeds or ready-to-use asparagus.

Players can purchase fully-grown asparagus and/or seed packets from goofy’s Stall to fulfill Villagers’ needs once Goofy’s Stall is available and unlocked.

Some shop goods aren’t available until a later upgrade of Goofy’s Stall. Check to see which upgrade includes the items you need to make cooking easier to manage.

Gardening may be a less expensive way to what you need and help Mickey and his friends. You can also sell vegetables and other items for some quick cash.

Whether you’re playing to complete collections quickly or enjoy casually making a three-course meal, it’s helpful to compare ingredient options when you need to complete cooking goals.

Growing Asparagus

Assuming you’ve already purchased seed packets at the local supply shop, you’re ready to grab a garden plot, your Royal Tools and let’s get started.

Seed Packet Availability

Asparagus is available for purchase in the Frosted Heights biome after players reach the second level of Goofy’s Stall. It’s native to the area and gives players a bonus when growing asparagus in Frosted Heights exclusively.

Seed Packet Bonus

Seeds can be planted in a garden plot in any biome. However, when you plant seeds in their native biome, they’ll grow 10% faster than if the seeds are planted in a different area.

To figure out each seed packet’s native biome, check Goofy’s Stall. for a quick reminder. The items that are sold at each location of Goofy’s store are the items that are native to that Dreamlight Valley area.

Use my Dreamlight Gardening: Seed Packets guide to find the native biome for every kind of seed packet in each edition of Dreamlight Valley.

Plant Seeds

Growing your own ingredients may take time and effort, but it requires less Star Coins. At some point in the game, we’re all desperate for a few bucks and turn to making recipes for a quick boost to our bank balance.

If you’re not in a hurry, however, growing your vegetables is a money-wise choice and is a fun activity to do while relaxing in front of the tv.

Water Seedlings

Some produce needs water to grow. To water your seeds use the Royal Watering Can, located in your inventory. You’ll be happy to hear that if you happen plant a bunch of seeds and maybe accidentally forget they’re waiting to be watered (ahem)—rain water counts as watering while you’re away.

Rainy Weather

In Dreamlight Valley, one rain storm equals one action. Each seed packet’s watering needs determin how often players need to water seedlings. You can either hope for another rain shower while you’re gone, or use the watering can to speed up the process.

Buy Crops

Players who are in a hurry or need to move quickly through quests and cooking challenges can buy ready-to-use crops from Goofy at his stall. Again, this can get pricey, but it’s quicker for impatient Villagers (ahem again).

Where to Buy Asparagus

Asparagus is available at Goofy’s Stall in Frosted Heights. Unlock the Level 2 stall (the upgrade after unlocking the stall initially) for access to the seeds and vegetable options.

Here are the numbers help make a decision whether to buy vegetables or grow your own produce for recipes. Look at not only the prices, but how many of each item you grow using each seed packet.

To get an accurate total profit, multiply the amount the action yields by the price if sold, then subtract the seed packet price. This helps make the math correct so you can compare stats.
