How Kids Can Help Make Acorn Donut Holes

Putting these donuts together is a fun activity that kids will love helping with. They can easily get involved by breaking the pretzel sticks in half, inserting the acorn stems, dunking each donut hole in hazelnut spread or dipping the donuts in the chocolate sprinkles.

How to Make Acorn Donuts with Nutella

Makes 30 donut hole acorns

Ingredients

  • Nutella or other hazelnut spread
  • Brown chocolate jimmie sprinkles
  • 30 donut holes
  • Pretzel sticks (break each one in half)

Directions

Take a donut hole, and using a spoon, smear Nutella across the top half of each donut. You can also put the spread in a small bowl and dunk it 1/3 of the way.

Dip and twist the covered donut hole in the chocolate sprinkles.

Make sure the Nutella is covered with plenty of chocolate jimmies! Real talk… no one is happy with less sprinkles—and they will notice if you’re skimpy with them.

Take one of the broken pretzel sticks and poke it in the center of the top of the donut where the Nutella and sprinkles are.

Set the donut hole aside on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and repeat with each donut hole until all of the donuts are done.

You’re ready to serve a plate of happiness!
